DIED - 6 October 1828
On Sunday evening, the 5th inst., after a severe illness, MR JOSEPH KIEFE, aged 64 years.
His friends and acquaintances, and those of the family, are respectfully invited to attend his funeral, from his late residence, in Federal Street, a few doors above Front, tomorrow morning, at 9 o'clock.
This morning, at the house of her son in law, Jacob Souder, on the site of the new State Penitentiary, MARGARET JANUS, in the 72d year of her age.
Her friends and acquaintances, and those of the family, are invited to attend the funeral, from the house of her son, Abraham P. Foering, No. 228 North Second near C. Howhill street, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
At Georgetown, (D.C.) at the house of his brother in law, Eben Stout, Esq., on the 30th of September, Frances Hopkinson, Esq., (youngest son of the late Hon. Francis Hopkinson, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence), in the 44th year of his age. His benevolent feelings and genuine warmth of heart, endeared him to a large circle of friends and acquaintences in this town, who sincerely sympathasise with his afflicted relatives in the loss they have sustained. It may be consolatary to his friends at a distance to know that the most tender and unremitted attention was shown him throughout his illness by an affectionate sister, a skillful physician, and many warmly attached friends.
