MARRIED: In this town, on Sunday evening last, by the Rev. Dr. Baldwin, Mr. John Humphries, to Miss Hannah Hollis, both of this town.
By the Rev. Dr. Baldwin, Mr. Aquila Davis of Lebanon, to Miss Betsey Conant, of Boston.

DIED: On Saturday Last, the remains of Major James H. Elliot, were entombed. The funeral ceremonies were attended with military honors, by the Independent Cadets; and a long procession of friends evinced the general regret and respect.

In this town, widow Sally Cooper, aged 76.

Yesterday morning, Mr. Alexander Cudworth, aet 30. The funeral will proceed from his late dwelling house, in Second Street, near the Alms house, on Thursday next, at 4 o'clock. where the relations and friends are requested to attend without further invitation.


Yesterday morning, after a lingering illness which she bore with christian fortitude and resignation, Mrs. Elizabeth Blodgett, in the 79th year of her age. Funeral from her son-in-law, Mr. Samuel Watts's in Charter Street, tomorrow afternoon, (of suitable weather), at half past 4 o'clock. Friends and relations are desired to attend without further invitation.

In Roxbury, yesterday, Mrs. Mary, wife of Mr. Ira Bush, merchant, of this town. Her funeral will be at the house of Thomas Rice, in Cambridgeport, near the bridge, tomorrow, at 1/2 past 4 p.m., which the relations and friends are desired to attend without further invitation.

At Sharon, on Thursday, last, Mrs. Anna Savels, wife of John Savels, merchant, aet 34, a lady most deeply lamented by all her acquaintance. It is a tribute justly due to her memory, to say, that she was a person strictly and conscientiously virtuous, pure and unblemished in thought, word and deed. To her numerous acquaintance she afforded a bright pattern of moral excellence. She wore her last illness, which was long and distressing, with patience and fortitude; and supported by the conscienceness of virtue and religion, she looked beyond the grave with comfort; and met the stroke of fate with a calmness and equanimity of soul that became a Christian.

In London, on the 1st of Feb. Henry Barnes, esq., aet 84. He left this, his native country, during the Revolution; and was remarkable for the intergrity of his character.

In England, an honest Welsh farmer, aet 105. He had been three times married; by his first wife he had 30 children, by his second 10, and by his thrid 4, and by two concubines 7 -- his youngest son was 81 years younger than the oldest, and 800 persons, descended from his body, attended his funeral.

Circuit court - December term 1807
Gideon Snow, complainant
Against Abigail Perkins, widow and administrator, and Hannah Perkins, sister and heir of Joseph Perkins, deceased, and Nathan Bond, defendants.
The bill states, that Joseph Perkins, formerly of Boston, now deceased, being indebted unto the United States for duties, to the amount of seven hundred and fifty seven dollars, and fifty cents, current money, requested the Complainant as his security, to enter into two several obligations for the payment thereof: That in compliance with said request, he, the said complainant, did so become his security. That when the said bonds became due, the said Joseph Perkins failed to pay the same; and the said complainant, was obliged to pay the same. That the said Joseph Perkins died intestate, leaving no lenial heirs,a nd leaving a widow, Abigail Perkins, and a sister, Hannah Perkins, above named, who both reside in Boston.
That the said Joseph Perkins, left a personal estate, inadequate to the payment of his debts, and the whole of the same has been fully administered. That the equitable interest, in and to lots numbered five and six, in square numbered five hundred and thirty three, and of lot numbered two in square numbered four hundred and eight, all lying and being in the City of Washington, county and district aforesaid, were conveyed to said Joseph Perkins, by a certain Nathan Bond, also of Boston, and that the whole of the purchase money hath been paid for the same. The bill further prays a decree for the sale of said lots, for the payment of the said money so paid by said complainant, as securioty for the said Joseph Perkins.
It is the Complainant's motion, Ordered, that he procure a copy of this order, to be inserted once a week in each of three successive weeks, in the National Intelligencer, and once a week in some newspaper published in Boston, before the third Monday of June next, ensuing. To the end, that the said ABIGAIL PERKINS, HANNAH PERKINS and NATHAN BOND, and all other persons (if any there be), interested in the premises, may have notice of the Complainants application, and of the object of his said Bill, and that the defendants may be warned to appear in person, or by solicitor, in the Court, on or before the third Monday of June next, ensing, to shew cause (of any they can) why a decree, as prayed for, in and by said bill, should not be made.
