OBITUARIES:
Carl W. Jennings
Carl W. Jennings passed away at his home on Mechanic street Tuesday morning. He was born in Jewett City, September 22, 1878, the son of Dr. George H. and Annie Greenwood Jennings. He is survived by his wife, Mary J. Flake Jennings; a brother, George Jennings of Norwich; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Gtiggs of Berkley, Calif., and Mrs. Anna Beers of Reno, Nevada.
Mr. Jennings, a residence of Danielson for 40 years, was employed as a watchman at the P & A plant on Maple street for the past 25 years. He was also a member of the Westfield Congregational Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 o'clock from the Tillinghast Funeral Home with the Rev. Oliver Cowles officiating. Music will be by Charles A. Dowsett at the organ. Interment will be in Westfield Cemetery.
Mrs. Edmund L. Goodness
The funeral service for the late Mrs. Ella Lilliam Goodness of South Killingly was held Friday from the Tillinghast Funeral Home at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Henry A. Coolidge officiating. Music was by Mrs. Sidney Perry at the organ.
Interment was in the South Killingly cemetery where the Rev. Mr. Coolidge conducted the committal. The bearers were Harold Woodmancy, Richard Woodmancy, George Warren, Ira Warren, Earl Phillips and George Bromley.
Mrs. Thomas Neville
Mrs. Anna Neville of Greenfield, Mass., formerly of Liberty Street, North Adams, Mass, passed away last Wednesday afternoon, October 4, ar Franklin County hospital in Greenfield, where she had been a patient for two weeks.
She was born at Schroon Lake, N.Y., the daughter of Louis and Hannah Bullett. The widow of Thomas Neville, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Frank Brown of Greenfield, with whom she resided, Mrs. Irene McManus of Pittsfield, Mass, Mrs. Doris Hartley of Danielson, and Mrs., Margaret Cerce of Holyoke, Mass; a son, James Boulger of Greenfield, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Grover C. Bowman and Mrs. Ethel Roche of Dumont, N.J.; two brothers, George of Union City, N.J., and Frank of North Adams, Mass.; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mrs. Neville was a North Adams resident for 77 years until she went to Greenfield three months ago to reside with her daughter. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church where funeral services were held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment was in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
Mrs. Joseph Vegiard:
Mrs. Rose Anna Vegiard of 10 Tiffany street, Brooklyn, passed away Monday after a long illnerss. She was born May 1, 1863 in Canada, the daughter of Christome Guillet and Aurelie Desroches Guillet. She is the widow of Joseph Vegiard, and is survived by the Rev. Arthur Vegiard of the Fathers of LaSalette stationed at Bloomfield, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. Aurore Gaudreau of Brooklyn and Sister Gulianna of the Sisters of St. Joseph at Ridge, Md.; one sister, Mrs. Corrine Colin of St. Bruno, P.Q., Canada; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Vegiard was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and St. James Church and the St. Jean de Baptiste Conseil Marguerite de Roberval No. 137, Danielson.
