DANBURY BURGLARS SENTENCED
Twelve Years Each in State Prison
BRIDGEPORT, Sept. 12 -- George W. Wallace and George A. Wallack, the two burglars who broke into La Rue's jewelry store in Danbury a few months ago, bound the clerk, and carried off severeal thousand dollars worth of goods, pleaded guilty in the superior court today to robbery and theft. Judge Robinson sentenced them to twelve years each in state prison.
Wallace, when sentenced, became angered and jumped from his seat, kicked over his chair, and was only prevented from creating further disturbance by half a dozen deputy sheriffs, who overpowered him.

HEIR TO $10,000
Good Luck of John Delaney of Waterbury

John Delaney of Waterbury, has lately become heir to cash and real estate to the amount of about $10,000 by the death of his brother, Michael Delaney of Mount Mallick, Queens County, Ireland.
The deceased was the proprietor of a hotel and livery stables in the town of Mount Mallick. Mr. Delaney will sail from New York today to look up his possessions, leaving his family in Waterbury meanwhile. If he makes up his mind to continue the business, he will send for his wife and children.

MELLERSH - MALLORY
A Pretty English Wedding at Fairfield

Miss Helena Conger Mallory, daughter of the Rev. Dr. George A. Mallory, editor of the Churchman, and Wilfred Mellersh, an Englishman, were married in the old English style in St. Paul's Church, Fairfield, Thursday. The bridesmaids were Miss May Mallory, sister of the bride, Miss Hilda Mellersh, sister of the groom, Miss Jones of Middletown, Miss Maud Mallory of Bridgeport, Miss Ogilvie of New Rochelle and Miss Parsons of New York. The best man was Mr. Jones of New York. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Mallory, father of the bride, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Jones, rector of the church, and the Rev. Charles M. Pyne of Washington D.C. The wedding gifts were especially handsome and costly and came from Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Hartford, Bridgeport and other places.

Recent Deaths
Peck Sperry

Peck Sperry, a well-known New Haven man, died from heart trouble yesterday, aged 74. He was well and favorably known among the older residents of New Haven, and for many years conducted almost the only musical establishment in the city. Of late years, he has been engaged in the real estate and collecting business. He was born in Woodbridge, but went to New Haven when a youth. He was a member of the Grays from 1839 to 1843, being obliged to leave shortly after being made a lieutenant because of an absence from New Haven necessitated by his health. He married Miss Augusta Lake of Huntington almost fifty years ago. A son survives him, Edward, who lives in New York. Mr. Sperry was highly respected as a man of principle and integrity. The funeral occurs on Monday.

Obituary Notes
Lieutenant Fred G. Hyde, died in Woodstock Wednesday, aged 43. He was a native of Franklin, and was related to the late Hon. L.F.S. Foster of Norwich, being one of the legatees of his estate. He resigned his commission in the navy several years ago.

John David Chollar, a well known business man of Worcester, Mass., died at Killingly yesterday, aged 61.

SOUTHINGTON

Mrs. Henry Curtis, who had been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Frank A. Wallace of Wallingford, died suddenly on Wednesday evening. She had been in poor health for some time. She was mother of Mr. L.K. Curtis, cashier of the Southington National Bank, and Floyd Curtis, treasurer of the Meriden City Bank.

Died in a Loft
Albert Miller of East Hartford, aged 69, was found dead in the hay loft at Burke's lumber yard Saturday morning. The body was taken to the morgue and Medical Examiner Fuller summoned. After examining the body he delivered it to Charles F. Gale of East Hartford, Miller's son-in-law. Death was probably due to apoplexy, caused by heavy drinking.

MELLERSH - MALLORY -- In Fairfield, Sept. 11, at St. Paul's church, by the Rev. George S. Mallory, D.D., assisted by the Rev. W. Strother Jones and the Rev. C. M. Pyne, Helena Cruger, daughter of the officiating clergyman, to Wilfred Duke Mellersh, of Petersfield, Hampshire, England.

WHITE -- In this city, Sept. 13, Leverett H. White, in his 51st year.
Funeral services at his late residence, No. 70 Brook st., this (Monday) afternoon, at 3 o'clock. Friends invited without further notice.
SPERRY -- In New Haven, Sept. 12, Peck Sperry, aged. 71.
FOLEY -- In New London, Sept. 10, John E. Foley, aged 31 years and 8 months, formerly of Hartford.
