Fine for Badger - Desautel Found In Jail

Joseph Badger, a mill weaver from Mechanicsville, was in city court today. Badger got drunk in Dayville Saturday afternoon and abused Conductor L'homme of the 6:55 trolley car. He was fined $15 and costs, amounting to $24.67, which he paid.

Miss Helen Hammond of the Emerson College of Oratory, Boston, is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hammond of Church street.

Joseph Desautel the French weaver who a local clairavoyant said was dead at the bottom of the Quinebaug River behind Nightingale Mill, is in the Brooklyn jail. He was arrestged in Willimantic for drunkeness and gave an assumed name.

Mrs. Charlotte Champlin and daughter, Miss Mae, are at Red Bank. M/J/. the guests of relatives.

W. J. H. Nourne of Worcester will tell the story of "The Expedition to the Relief of General Gordon" tomorrow evening at the Congregational Church.
