In this City, Miss Elizabeth Hopkins, aged 15, daughter of Mr. Jesse Hopkins.
At Wilmington, North Carolina, on the 2d inst. Mr. Samuel Belden, aged 23, a native of Berlin, of this state.
At Templeton, MS*, on the 9th September last Miss Mary Upham, aged 46; on the 26th, Mrs. Sarah Upham, aged 63; on the 29th, Miss Phebe Upham, aged 40; on the 3rd ult., Mr.Daniel Upham, aged 68; on the 15th, Mrs. Martha Upham, aged 34; on the 28th, Mr. Joshua Upham, aged 26; also, at Sudbury (MS), Mr. Samuel Upham, age 24; in Mr. Upham's house, Mr. Nathan Smith, age 38; all of whom except the latter, belonged to one family, and all died within the short space of seven weeks, of typhus fever.

At Cambridgeport, MS*, of a lock-jaw, occassioned by a wound from a nail entering his foot, Mr. Dana Brigham, aged 25.
At Middletown, Mr.Elisha Stowe, aged 76.
At New London, Mrs. Mary Dirker, aged 56, wife of Mr. John Dirker.
At Spencer, MS* Elliott Mason, Esq., aged 46.
At Waterford Mrs. Grace Brown, wife of Mr. Christopher Brown.
At East Haddam Mr. Joseph O. Warner, aged 24.
At Providence, RI Col. Jeremiah Olney , president of the Cincinatti Society of Rhode Island.
At Salem John B. White, aged 32. He went into an apothecary shop and inquired for laudanum, a large bottle of which being placed on the counter, he requested leave to look at and judge of it, which the unsuspecting apothecary permitted; when raising the bottle to his mouth, he took three or four swallows before the bottle could be wrested from him. Being told he had swallowed enough to destroy him; he replied he wished to die; and in four hours after he was a corpse; notwithstanging the emetics, which were forcibly administered, operated freely.
