Father of Local Resident Dies Suddenly in Waterbury
Anthony Czarzasty, 67, of 198 Easton avenue, Waterbury, father of Miss Irene Czarzasty, housekeeper the past 14 years for the Rev. Francis A. Duch, pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help church, died suddenly late last night at the Chase Brass Co., Waterbury, were he had worked for many years.
A resident of Terryville and Waterbury about 55 years, Mr. Czarzasty was born in Poland. he also leaves his wife, the former Pauline Zeikowska, five other children, Francis, Casimir, Eugene, Erwin and Miss Veronica Czarzasty, all of Waterbury, and nine grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from his home. A solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at St. Stanislaus church, Waterbury, and interment will be in a Waterbury cemetery.

Death Takes Widow of Bernhart Boordsen at Age of 83
Mrs. Mary Driscoll Boordsen, , 73, widow of Bernhart Boordsen, died about 9 p.m. yesterday at Twin Pines Nursing Home, Waterford. She was admitted there in 1946 from the Harrington Nursing Home, Colchester.
Born March 17, 1877, In Ireland, daughter of John and Margaret Connell Driscoll, she had lived in this country 53 years. Her husband died in 1945.
Her affiliations included membership in St. Joseph's parish.
Mrs. Boordsen leaves a son, Belman Boordsen, a daughter, Mrs. Charles Briggs, and a brother, Timothy Driscoll, all of this city; four grandchildren and neeces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Ray C. Smith Funeral home. A high mass of requiem will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at st. Joseph church and interment will be in Jordan cemetery.

Mother of Poquonoc Bridge Man Dies in Texas
Mrs. Emma Perkins Hughes, mother of Henry Perkins of Poquonoc Bridge, died Sunday in Dallas, Texas, after a long illness. She had been a frequent visitor in this city and Groton.
Also surviving is another son, William Perkins of San Antonio, Texas.
Funeral services were held yesterday at Dallas and burial was at San Antonio.

Mrs. Irene L. Patterson
Mrs. Irene L. Patterson, of 210 Howard street was laid to rest today in Cedar Grove cemetery following 2 p.m. funeral services at Thomas L. Neilan & Son Funeral home.
Officiating clergyman was Dr. Merle H. Mason, pastor of the First Baptist church. Orient Rebekah lodge also conduted a service under the direction of Mrs. Mary Vine, noble grand, and Miss Margaret Lyman, chaplain.
Mrs. Marjorie Talmadge sang Abide with me and Nearer My God to Thee and Mrs. Verna Skinner sang In teh Sweet Bye and Bye and Some Time We'll Understand.
Dr Mason conducted a commital service. Bearers were Millard and Carl Patterson, James Hines, Murray Patterson, Lewis Leary and Edward Darling
Mrs. Patterson, wife of Reuben A. Patterson, died Monday morning at Lawrence Memorial hospital.
Richard A. Bump Services
Funeral services for Richard Arthur bump of 33 1/2 Chappell streer, a retired carpenter and paperhanger, were conducted at 2 p.m. today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Moon, Boston Post road, Old Lyme.
The Rev. Oliver W. Bell, pastor of the Methodist church was officiating clergyman and conducted a committal service in Duck River cememtery, Old Lyme. Bearers were Sidney Moon, Oliver Roberts, Jesse Arnold, James McKernan, Max Pabilonia, and Exequil Murallo.
Mr. Bump, husnad of the late Rosa Jane Daniels Bump, died Monday night at his home.
Baby Lives Less Than An Hour
A daughter corn at 7:36 a.m. today at Lawrence Memorial hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Robertson of 33 Waco court, Poquonoc Bridge, expired at 8:15 a.m.
Her mother is the former Alma Dorothy Cruise of Waterford.
Surviving, besides her parents, are two brothers, John Daniel and Allan Harry Robertson; a sister, Rosemary Robertson, her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs John W. Cruise 21 Lois avenue, Waterford, and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Robertson of Noank.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Services for Harold A. Johnson
Funeral services for Harold Albertus Johnson of 160 Prospect street, Norwich, who was married here 51 years ago last September, were conducted at 2 p.m. today at Gager's Funeral home, Norwich.
Officiating clergymen were the Rev. Elwood Babbin, pastor of the Third Baptist church, Greenville, and the Rev. Charles Banning, pastor of the Central Baptist church, Norwich. Mrs. Charlotte Brown sang Will the Lighthouse Shine on Me and Precious Lord, Take My Hand.
Interment was in Comstock cemetery, Montville. Bearers were Earl Phillips, Robert Lillie, Lawrence A. Vars Jr., and Warrall Brown.
Mr. Johnson, husband of the former Elizabeth Whitaker, died suddenly Monday noon at his home.
Among his survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence A. Vars Sr. of Quaker Hill, and Mrs. Clarence Cheney of Dodge, Mass.
